I'm very excited to be part of the Help-Portrait project. Some of the guys from the Seoul Photo Club I belong to and I are looking to help by photographing kids at an orphanage near Seoul. One of our club members, Dylan, is organizing everything and has rallied us together. This is an excerpt from what he wrote in the SPC discussion forum:
"I've been organising [sic] the Seoul end of this for some time now. I've got an orphanage organised [sic] who I will meet with on Saturday morning to discuss the details with. I would like to provide the 50 or so kids at the orphanage with a picture they can keep for their whole lives and a little spark of hope on the day if we can. I used to work for this orphanage, and they're a great bunch of people."
I'm stoked to do something so positive using a medium I love. More information to come as we get closer to 12/12.
